The students held a drug education event in October 2008. They planted red bulbs in October for Red Ribbon Week. For December, 2008, they collected 396 stuffed animals which were distributed between two local hospitals for emergency room and juvenile patients, to the Campus of Care for seniors, and to the Winslow Police Department that they might have them to give to children who are in homes where domestic violence occurs.

Planning is ongoing to conduct a food drive for dogs/cats, etc. This is to help seniors that have companion animals, yet are having a hard time purchasing food for them. If Winslow school members need help establishing projects, contact Gus Percuco for assistance.
